WWE SmackDown Live Results 24th October 2017, Latest SmackDown Live winners and many more
Opening segment
Shane McMahon kicked off this week's show, and he expectedly got a hero's welcome. The crowd was pretty hot as it was his first SmackDown appearance since Hell in a Cell. He revealed that Kurt Angle's request to have AJ Styles at TLC led to the planning of the RAW invasion.
He mocked Angle for criticising the blue brand's roster that kicked off an 'under siege' chant. Sami Zayn interrupted the proceedings.
The newly-turned heel attempted to make amends with SmackDown's commissioner, but Shane wasn't in a forgiving mood. Zayn said that he and Kevin Owens were willing to become the captains at Survivor Series. Shane announced that he will face Randy Orton and the winner will get a spot in the SS team of the blue brand.
The New Day vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable
The Usos were on commentary for this one. Both teams made their entrances and Kofi and Shelton kicked things off.
They jockeyed for position before Kofi got the upper hand. He tagged in Woods, who came in and connected with a running elbow. Benjamin regained control of the match by throwing Kofi out of the ring as SmackDown went into a commercial break.
Benjamin continued to work on Kofi after the break. Kofi, though, created some separation and tagged Woods in. Benjamin did the same by getting Gable in for the first time in the match.
Woods got a near fall and it seemed like he would get the job done for his team before Gable himself got a near fall as a result of a somersault kick.
The action turned chaotic as we approached the finish of the match. A double team move wasn't enough for Benjamin and Gable as

Woods kicked out yet again.
However, the resistance ended after Woods got caught by an illegal Benjamin kick that the referee didn't see. Gable rolled Woods up and got the three-count!
Result: Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable def. The New Day
Sin Cara vs. Baron Corbin
The WWE US Champion looked to gain some retribution against the Luchador, who beat Corbin via count out last week.
Corbin began the match on top as he worked on Cara's neck. Cara stopped Corbin with a bunch of elbows and kicks. He amped up the pace of the match by sending the Lone Wolf out of the ring, followed up by two suicide dives.

Back in the ring, Cara got a very near fall by a missile dropkick from the top rope. Corbin, by this time, had lost his mind as a result of his game plan falling apart.
An unhinged Corbin entered the ring and unleashed a barrage of elbows on Cara. He kept pummeling Cara until the referee was forced to call for the bell and adjudge Cara the winner via DQ.
Result: Sin Cara def. Baron Corbin
Jinder Mahal responds to Paul Heyman's promo
The Singh Brothers came out and introduced the WWE Champion while also taking a shot at Paul Heyman. The Singh Brothers are the advocates of the Modern Day Maharaja, don't forget that!
A short highlights package of Paul Heyman's promo from RAW aired, and Jinder Mahal didn't look pleased. He called Heyman a used car salesman before putting himself over as the man who started from the bottom only to become the most powerful man in the WWE.
He bragged about beating Orton and Nakamura before promising to do the same to the Beast Incarnate at Survivor Series. He demanded respect from the WWE Universe, what he got was AJ Styles interrupting him mid-way through his promo. To make matters worse, Mike Chioda banned Mahal for his 'loyal' brother, Sunil Singh's singles debut match against AJ Styles.
AJ Styles vs. Sunil Singh
*Ding Ding*, Calf Crusher, *ding ding*!
Result: AJ Styles def. Sunil in under 10 seconds
Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Carmella vs. Tamina vs. Naomi (Winner becomes team captain)
A generic brawl kicked off the high-stakes match with Carmella and Tamina being the sole survivors in the ring. They try to forge a partnership but Tamina had other plans as she laid Miss MITB out with a Samoan Drop.
Charlotte was seen destroying Tamina outside the ring after the break. Lynch tried to take her friend down but to no avail. Tamina finally shut down a rampaging Charlotte before the action got back into the ring.
After a brief sequence, Carmella sent Naomi crashing into the steel ring post, forcing the former Women's Champion out of the match.
Carmella almost picked up the win as a result of a superkick, but the Irish Lasskicker had other ideas.
She locked in the Dis-Arm-Her to pick up the win and become the SmackDown Live Women's team captain.
Result: Becky Lynch won to become SD Women's team captain
Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn
The Viper and the Underdog from the Underground faced each other for the second time ever as a spot in the SmackDown team was on the line.
Zayn mounted the pressure in the early goings as he targeted Orton's chest with knife-edged chops. This charged Orton up, who sent Zayn out and looked to ram him into the barricade. Zayn, though, revered it into a moonsault.
We returned from the break and Zayn was controlling the match with a chinlock. A heel kick yielded him a two-count. Zayn went for the snap suplex but got dropped on the ropes by Orton. Orton began to rally and connected with a couple of lariats, followed by a vintage Orton Powerslam. He went for the vintage DDT, but failed to get all of it.
Zayn rolled out in the nick of time but couldn't avert the damage that followed. Orton slammed Zayn into the announce table.
Back in the ring, Zayn went up top for some aerial action but Orton stopped him in his tracks and delivered a suplex from the top rope. The action spilled outside yet again as Orton got sent face first into the ring post followed by the insanely beautiful Zayn DDT. Vintage Sami!
Back in the ring, Zayn looked for the Helluva Kick but Orton countered with the rope-hung DDT. KO came out to help but Orton survived a roll-up due to the distraction.
Orton took advantage of the referee arguing with Owens by low-blowing Zayn and following it up with a zesty RKO! 1-2-3!
Result: Randy Orton def. Sami Zayn to become the first member of team SmackDown
