Kavita Devi

According to Wrestlezone, Kavita Devi's match with Dakota Kai has more views on Youtube than any other match from the Mae Young Classic.

In case you didn't know....

Kavita Devi is the first Indian woman to ever wrestle in a WWE ring. She came from Malvi village, Haryana, and she worked as a constable before retiring as a sub-inspector in 2010 to focus on her sporting career.
She trained in Continental Wrestling Entertainment the Academy owned by the Great Khali and won a gold medal in the South Asian Games as a powerlifter in 2016.
While in CWE, she even knocked down BB Bull Bull, the first Indian Professional Women Wrestler.

The heart of the matter

When the 16 opening matches of the Mae Young Classic matches were put up on Youtube, it turned out that the match between Kavita Devi and Dakota Kai had generated the most views.
Dakota Kai vs Kavita Devi now has 1.5 Million views while the next highest match is Princesa Sugehit vs Kay Lee Ray with 106K views. The huge difference between the two matches is so substantial that WWE might have to pay special attention to Kavita Devi.
In an interview with Sportskeeda [Read Here: Interview with Kavita Devi], she revealed that her next goal was to become the first Indian woman to hold a WWE Woman's Championship.
Kavita Devi lost the match with Dakota Kai, but with the brilliant response that she received, WWE will be thinking twice before letting her go. With WWE pushing Jinder and trying to grow in the Indian market, this may just be what they are looking for to continue to gain a place in India.

Author's take

The Youtube results for Kavita Devi makes it obvious what WWE was trying to get with the Jinder push. While that has not worked out too much, India has such a huge population that even the smallest fraction watching WWE programming regularly will increase their ratings tremendously.
Kavita Devi is the first Indian woman to have wrestled in WWE, and with her power style and obvious drawing power, she may soon become the next WWE signing.
